The great thing about terrariums is the wide range of creative possibilities you have to create a terrarium that reflects your style and personality. One of the first things you'll have to consider is what kind of container you want to use. Here, you're limited only by your imagination.

The most traditional terrariums use glass fish bowls, aquariums, vases, or decorative jars. But let your creativity stop there. Any clear glass or plastic container will work. The light bulb terrarium above is a great example of a creative container.

How about a cake stand, a wine glass, a beer bottle, or a jelly jar? Take a look through your kitchen cabinets and see what catches your eye. Sometimes the best ideas come from unexpected places!
